 The Creative Tourism Network® will have the honor and the pleasure to give a workshop on creative tourism within the SOTIC Conference, organized by the Caribbean Tourism Organization  next October 20th-22th in Curaçao,.

This year’s conference, which has as its theme, Caribbean Tourism: Growth Through Innovation, is organized in collaboration with Curaçao’s Ministry of Economic Development and the Curaçao Tourism Board, with support from the United Nations tourism agency, the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).

A unique opportunity to explore and highlight the Caribbean potential and cultural richness to develop this new tourist trend.

Art & Tur Festival and Conference, Porto, Oct.2015

254 competing films from 53 countries are participating at  ART&TUR Festival 2015!

The ART&TUR International Tourism Film Festival, celebrated in Porto is a worldwide reference.

In collaboration with the Creative Tourism Network®, the festival has created for this edition, the Creative Tourism Film Award, to recompense that work whose contents and philosophy tribute to this new way of dicovering a culture.

The winners will be revealed within the Awards Ceremony, to be held in Porto on October 24th.

As part of the Festival, the International Conference on Cinema, Destination Image and Place Branding will take place on October 21st-22d, in order to bring together researchers and practitioners interested in the advances and business applications of tourism marketing.

Porto Alegre innovates in Creative Tourism

The Brazilian city of Porto Alegre is a pioneer again with the in organization of a creative tourism program in a unique venue, in order for the tourists to experience exhaustively the Gaucha culture!

 Every year in September, the Farroupilha Camp is THE-place-to-be for the travelers willing to learn how to saddle a horse, to make a churrasco (typical BBQ), to create jewelry, traditional clothing or to learn local dances. Such a wide array of activities that are increasingly attracting visitors from all over the world!     Congrats Porto Alegre!

Creative Dialogue Association / Creative Tourism Network®:

a new partnership!

We are very proud o announce our new partnerhip with the Creative Dialogue Association,  a non-profit organization based in Barcelona since 2009 that works on conceiving and implementing programs to support the creative communities working on creative industries in MENA region (Middle East and North Africa).

Since 2014, CDA's programs have been implemented in more than 15 cities and the DURAR Program was launched as a regional creative capacity building program specialized in crafts & innovation in organizations, education, business and design. DURAR program is designed to be implemented in cities where Crafts industries are an active sector that absorbs labour forces with great potential for social, economic and cultural development.

No doubt that such fruitful partnership will conribute to increase the development of the creative tourism in those regions.
