Creative Tourism at the closing of the International Year of the Creative Economy for Sustainable Development

The director of the CreativeTourismNetwork®, Caroline Couret spoke within the World Creative Economy Conference celebrated from December 7 to 9 in Dubai, to close the International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development.

This exceptional event, chaired by HE Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, HE Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth of the United Arab Emirates, and HE. Sandiaga Salahuddin, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, brought together a large community of entrepreneurs, policymakers and speakers of international renown, with the objective of optimizing the bases inclusiveness and sustainability of the creative economy.

Thus, within a panel on the theme “Think local: Inclusion and Diversity”, Caroline Couret highlighted the labeled CreativeFriendly destinations of the CreativeTourismNetwork®, and their strengths in order not only to position themselves within the growing market of creative and experiential tourism but also to create an ecosystem, thanks to a virtuous creative economy at the local level.

The members of the CreativeTourismNetwork® were congratulated for their actions aimed at preserving and promoting crafts and creative industries as engines of sustainable development.

The participation of the CreativeTourismNetwork® in the WCCE has given rise to future collaborations with key players at the international level, with a view to creating new opportunities for the destinations which capitalize on this innovative tourism, as well as for all the stakeholders who make it. part.
