Long established as a creative hotspot, Cebu City was first identified as the Philippines’ design capital by the British Council in 2008 and was the ASEAN City of Culture in 2010. In 2019, the city was designated as a Creative City of Design and joined the prestigious UNESCO Creative Cities Network. in 2023, Cebu City was further recognized as a Creative Friendly destination by the Creative Tourism Network. The city and it’s citizens continue to be trailblazers and its creative ecosystem is robust and vibrant representing every creative domain from Culture to the Arts to Audiovisual, New Media, Creative Services and Design.
