Creative tourism seduces the WTM – London!

Aware of the importance of this trade show for tourism and travel professionals, the Creative Tourism Network® was once again actively involved in World Travel Market London 2023 this year, to represent the colors of creative tourism, which is increasingly establishing itself as an innovation capable of contributing to the sector’s sustainability challenges.

The team has promoted creative tourism programs in destinations ranging from Medellin (Colombia) to Loulé (Portugal) and Saint-Jean-Port-Joli (Quebec), via Nicosia, Quito and the city of Cannes, offering travelers in search of authenticity the chance to discover local culture by sharing creative experiences with locals, thus contributing to the formation of an ecosystem for the entire territory.

These experiences are the result of a process of co-creation within local communities, between stakeholders as diverse as artists, craftsmen, associations, farmers, tourism entrepreneurs and public authorities, among others.

The latest example of this new model of sustainable tourism is Tunisia, which, with the launch of the “The Culinary Route Tunisia” project, is reinventing itself by turning its ancestral culinary skills into new drivers of attractiveness. This new tourism offering was warmly welcomed by the many professionals present at the show, which broke all attendance records. They all saw the opportunities offered by “La Route” to provide their customers, whatever their profile (seniors, foodies, families, solo travelers, premium travelers, etc.) with high value-added stays.

The Creative Tourism Network® is proud to support the development of this wonderful initiative, and is preparing to unveil the membership of new creative destinations in the near future.
