Experience the Creative Tourism in Loulé,

1st. Portuguese Creative Friendly Destination®

Loulé is the 1rst city in Portugal to become member of Creative Tourism Network®

This municipality is much engaged with this new tourism approach in order to promote their local arts, traditions, history and culture. This has been included in the local development strategy of the council for the city and its territory. Several activities are already happening and many others are being prepared.

Next 26th and 27th of September, Loulé invites the local community, visitors and journalists to visit the city and participate, for free, in several creative activities that will happen in the historic centre.

Traditional dancing, jewellery, graphic design, natural painting, gastronomy are some of the workshops waiting for the participants.

We invite you to join us these days and become a "louletano" (name of the habitants of Loulé), sharing these experiences!

Interview with Philippe Wauquaire about

the creative tourism in Japan

The creative tourism is primarily a peer-to-peer tourism. It offers the travelers the opportunity to live unique experiences, shaped through encounters with the locals, far from the tourist clichés. Philippe Wauquaire was predestined to foster this new tourism in Japan. His passion for martial arts led this Belgian, born in Kinshasa, to settle in Japanese land in the 80’s. His expertise in tourism in Europe and Japan, as well as his perfect knowledge of both cultures, naturally led him to create a unique offer of creative activities within the Airserve agency, of which he coordinates the Inbound department.

We’ve met this pro-active and creative organizer, we are proud to count among the members of the Creative Tourism Network®.
