Vê Portugal - 2º International Tourism Forum

Aveiro

The CTN®’s director  had the honor to participate at “See Portugal – 2nd International Tourism Forum” held in Aveiro on June 25th-26th, and organized by Turismo do Centro (the regional board of Center of Portugal), under the high patronage of His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Portugal.
In this Forum, that gathered some of the most influent people associated to Tourism in Portugal, including the Prime Minister, the Secretary of State of Tourism and the President of Tourism of Portugal, were discussed all relevant matters regarding national demand, such as marketing, financing, organization and above all products and destinations. The creative tourism aroused the interest of private and public entities, as well as the media that titled: "Creative Tourism: a strategic bet"!
We also would like to congratulate Turismo do Centro for this excellent organization.

Parabéns Loulé Criativo!

The City Hall of Loulé (Algarve, South Portugal) presented last 11th June the “Loulé Criativo Turismo”program, becoming at the same time, the first Portuguese municipality to join the Creative Tourism Network .

“Loulé Criativo Turismo” is part of  “Loulé Criativo” project,  a municipality’s investment to value the identity of this territory. It supports the training, innovation and activity of the artisans and professionals from the creative sector, and offers the creative tourists a rich program of learning activities through which they can experience the local culture.

The platform is composed by local agents, artists, craftmen and private companies, willing to open their doors to visitors, to give them the opportunity to discover their intangible heritage.

International Summer School of

the Institute of Cultural Heritage (Québec)

 The Creative Tourism Network® had the pleasure to conduct a training within the International Summer School of the Institute of Cultural Heritage (IPAC) - University of Laval (Québec), that took place last may in the Spanish city of Gandia.

We would like to congratulate the Professor Habib Saidi, director of IPAC and the International Center of Gandia - University of Valencia for the excellent organization that offered the students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge on agro tourism from the participation of international experts as well as participating in a rich program of study tours.

2015 Art &Tur Tourism Film Festival

Created in 2008, the ART&TUR International Tourism Film Festival, celebrated in Porto, is already a worldwide reference.

Throughout its eight editions, it has rewarded works of cinema and quality media that promotes tourism from all over the world within its many facets.

With its interest to innovate and reflect the cultural and social wealth of the tourism sector, in this 2015 edition, creation emerges, in collaboration with the Creative Tourism Network®, international reference body for this new sector, the first international award dedicated to Creative Tourism.
This new generation of tourism, which invites travelers to live artistic and creative experiences in your destination, will be released in the ART&TUR screens next October.

Created by the Creative Tourism Network®, the Creative Tourism Awards aim to reward companies, projects and destinations worldwide that foster this new generation of tourism, characterized by the active participation of the tourists in artistic and creative activities.

The Awards will be announced within the World Travel Market, next  November 4th in London.

Saint-Jean-Port-Joli (Québec)

greets its first groups of creative tourists

Few time after the launching of its creative tourism program, Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, the first Canadian Creative Friendly Village, is attracting groups travellers willing to live unique experiences with the locals. Groups of tourists are currently discovering the destination (intangible) heritage through a wide array of sculpture, photography, dance, crafts, among other interesting workshops! Congratulations!

New collaboration with the

The CTN will launch next october a collaboration with the Toulouse Business School, prestigious institute established in Toulouse, Barcelona, Paris and Casablanca.
