The winners of the Best Italian Creative Destination Awards have been announced!
Created by the international organization Creative Tourism Network®, these awards aim to reward Italian destinations that bet on creative tourism.
Creative tourism guarantees a sustainable tourism model that responds to the new demand of travelers, looking for authentic and creative experiences, while generating a value chain for the benefit of territories and local communities.
The international jury, made up of experts in tourism marketing and creative economics, had the arduous task of selecting the winners from the great diversity of destinations that applied from all over Italy. The main criteria were the use of creativity to design authentic experiences, the diversification of the tourist offer through the enhancement of its intangible cultural heritage, and the creation of a local ecosystem.
The winners will benefit from the international promotion of the Creative Tourism Network®, a webinar to raise the awareness of their local stakeholders on creative tourism, as well as from the synergies generated within the year 2021, declared “International Year of the Economy Creative for Sustainable Development”, by the United Nations.
