The winners of the eleventh edition of the Creative Tourism Awards have just been revealed.

Created by the Creative Tourism Network®, the Creative Tourism Awards aim to recognize companies, projects, and destinations around the world that promote creative tourism, a new generation of tourism, characterized by the active participation of tourists in artistic and creative.

The members of the international jury had the difficult task of selecting the winners in different ways, from 192 applications, all demonstrating a high level of creativity, authenticity, and sustainability.

The Best Strategy for Creative Tourism Development Trophy was awarded to the Cannes Visitors Bureau and Tourist Office. An innovative project aimed at enriching its tourism offering with creative and inclusive experiences, the result of a co-creation process with the local population. In this way, the Cannes destination is endowed with high added value based on people, know-how, and traditions, which reflect its DNA, and position it as a sustainable tourism destination labeled CreativeFriendly.

Through experiences such as ceramic or perfume creation workshops, cooking classes, or artistic recycling of advertising banners from the Palais des Festival, Cannes is developing a varied offering, designed to satisfy diverse audiences, throughout the year.

For Caroline Couret, director of the Creative Tourism Network®, “Cannes’ strategy in terms of creative tourism is pioneering at a global level and represents a model for the luxury tourism sector, demonstrating that we can be a “Premium” destination “and meet many of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.”

In addition to the recognition conferred by these Trophies, the winners will benefit from international promotion orchestrated by the Creative Tourism Network®, as well as strategic partnerships with other members of the network and reference organizations.
