Join us and participate in dancing de cocoa,  playing the traditional instruments and sharing our heritage and festivals ! Our community is a small Spanish / indigenous community. We are proud of our cultural heritage as we are preserving out parang music, it’s instruments and our wear. We dance de cocoa with parang music , we hold festivals.

We introduce dancing de cocoa as part of our tours , while we play our cultural instruments. We have food festival where they taste our pastelles that are wrapped in banana leaves, roasted pork and wild meat for the people willing to live like a local ! 

The Lopinot Tourism Association Ltd. was honored with the Entrepreneurial Excellence Award by the Tunapuna / Piarco Regional Corporation for its outstanding contributions to tourism and the successful management of the Lopinot Chocolate Company at the Civic Awards and Gala reception held on November 20th, 2024. Our chocolate tours have made Lopinot a global chocolate destination, with cocoa products reaching as far as Japan, Norway, China, and beyond!

But that’s not all — it was a double win as the legendary Mr. Martin Gomez, former Supervisor of the Lopinot historical site, was recognized with the Cultural Visionary Award! As a beloved figure, he has shared the rich history of Lopinot and its folklore, including tales of Count de Lopinot, enslaved peoples, and the famous Martin Gomez Cave. His daily parang performances made him a staple for tourists, and he continues to manage the tours alongside his daughter and CEO of the Lopinot Tourism Association, Donna Mora.

We collaborate with the community, the cocoa farmers, the service providers, the lady’s we sell their jam, pepper sauce, pastels etc…

Notre communauté est une petite communauté d’origine espagnole et autochtone. Nous sommes fiers de notre héritage culturel, que nous préservons à travers la musique parang, ses instruments et notre costume traditionnel. Nous dansons le cocoa sur de la musique parang et nous organisons des festivals.

Nous intégrons le dancing de cocoa dans nos visites, tout en jouant nos instruments culturels. Nous organisons des festivals culinaires où l’on déguste nos pastelles enveloppés dans des feuilles de bananier, du porc rôti et du gibier — pour ceux qui souhaitent vivre comme un local !

La Lopinot Tourism Association Ltd. a reçu le Prix de l’Excellence Entrepreneuriale décerné par la Tunapuna / Piarco Regional Corporation, pour ses contributions exceptionnelles au tourisme et la gestion réussie de la Lopinot Chocolate Company, lors des Civic Awards and Gala du 20 novembre 2024. Nos visites sur le thème du chocolat ont fait de Lopinot une destination chocolatière reconnue dans le monde entier, avec des produits exportés jusqu’au Japon, en Norvège, en Chine et au-delà !

Mais ce n’est pas tout — ce fut une double récompense, car le légendaire M. Martin Gomez, ancien superviseur du site historique de Lopinot, a été distingué par le Prix de Visionnaire Culturel ! Personnalité très aimée, il a partagé la riche histoire de Lopinot et son folklore, incluant les récits du Comte de Lopinot, des peuples réduits en esclavage et de la célèbre grotte Martin Gomez. Ses performances quotidiennes de parang ont fait de lui une figure incontournable pour les touristes, et il continue de gérer les visites aux côtés de sa fille et directrice de la Lopinot Tourism Association, Donna Mora.

Nous collaborons avec la communauté locale, les producteurs de cacao, les prestataires de services, ainsi que les femmes qui vendent leurs confitures, sauces pimentées, pastelles, etc.

Nuestra comunidad es una pequeña comunidad de raíces españolas e indígenas. La Lopinot Tourism Association Ltd. fue galardonada con el Premio a la Excelencia Emprendedora por parte de la Corporación Regional de Tunapuna / Piarco por sus destacadas contribuciones al turismo y la exitosa gestión de la empresa Lopinot Chocolate Company, durante los Premios Cívicos y Recepción de Gala celebrados el 20 de noviembre de 2024. ¡Nuestras visitas dedicadas al chocolate han convertido a Lopinot en un destino chocolatero de fama mundial, con productos que llegan hasta Japón, Noruega, China y más allá!

¡Pero eso no es todo! Fue una doble victoria, ya que el legendario Sr. Martin Gomez, ex Supervisor del sitio histórico de Lopinot, fue reconocido con el Premio a la Visión Cultural. Figura muy querida, ha compartido durante años la rica historia de Lopinot y su folclore, incluidos los relatos del Conde de Lopinot, los pueblos esclavizados y la famosa Cueva Martin Gomez.
