Step into a cultural journey to Tobago’s Moriah Ole Time Wedding – a vibrant reenactment of a 1900s-style celebration with vintage attire and spirited folk traditions. Join locals as the Moriah village comes alive with music, traditions and dancing through the streets in a joyful village procession. Your day begins with a short flight to Tobago for breakfast at the historic Fort George and a visit to its National Museum! We take enriching stop enroute to Moriah as we soak up Tobago’s history and splendour all day long. This is not just a tour – it’s an unforgettable journey into the soul of Tobago!

The itinerary actively involves participation at almost every stage: – Heritage Dance & Song Mini-Class: they learn the “Brush Back” dance enabling them to actively perform alongside others during the actual procession. – Song and Live Music Demo: they learn a traditional wedding to be able to sing along in the procession and are taught about traditional instruments used in the wedding by engagement. – Costume Experience Station: Trying on traditional wedding garments – Ole Time Wedding Procession: Tourists join the wedding parade, singing, dancing, and engaging with locals in a meaningful and authentic way.

This experience is tied directly to Tobago’s annual Heritage Festival. All food, cultural practioners and other stakeholders (to the best of our ability) will be sourced and provided by Tobagonians. The auxiliary spots and sessions would be based on artistic expressions of Tobago’s culture.

This experience brings Tobago’s heritage to life through its performance, costume design, music, dance, and storytelling in a carefully crafted reenactment. We have weaved other artistic elements into an overall narrative, cultural journey. We hope to create mini-immersive experiences to align with Tobago’s identity, such as: * Heritage Dance Mini Class * Costume Experience Station * Live Traditional Music Session * Tasting table of Tobago traditional sweets giving each element a touch of flair and elevation.

Live a lifetime experience, participating in authentic local celebration.
