The Creative Tourism Network® had the honor to speak within the Seminar on “Tourism development at regional and municipal level: how to explore new opportunities” organized last September 19th in Caldas de Rainha (Center Portugal), by  IPDT – Turismo e Consultoria with the support of Turismo de Portugal.

Hundreds of delegates from the whole country attended this event that is part of the ALA+T program, designed to support Portuguese municipalities in the development of sustainable tourism projects. It will be followed by master classes at the end of which participants will be able to present their own projects. In addition to support and training, three projects will be selected to receive funding from Turismo de Portugal.

National and international experts shared their experiences about different aspects of the paradigm shift in tourism.

The director of the CreativeTourismNetwork®, Caroline Couret, presented practical cases of creative tourism, that could be applied to any destinations of Portugal, due to the country’s high potential to develop these new forms of tourism.

The session was introduced by Mr. António Jorge Costa, President of IPDT, and institutionally represented by Mrs. Ana Mendes Godinho, Secretary of State of Tourism, M. Luís Araújo, President of Turismo do Portugal, and Mrs. Ana Paula Pais,  Director Training Coordinator of Tourism of Portugal.

O CreativeTourismNetwork® teve a honra de participar do seminário “Desenvolvimento do turismo a nível regional e municipal: como explorar novas oportunidades”, organizado em 19 de setembro passado em Caldas de Rainha (Centro Portugal), pelo IPDT – Turismo e Consultoria com o apoio do Turismo de Portugal.

Centenas de delegados de todo o país participaram deste evento, parte do programa ALA + T, projetado para ajudar os municípios portugueses a desenvolver projetos de turismo sustentável. Serão seguidas de master classes ao final das quais os participantes poderão apresentar seus próprios projetos. Além de apoio e treinamento, três projetos serão selecionados para receber financiamento do Turismo de Portugal.

Oradores nacionais e internacionais compartilharam suas experiências sobre diferentes aspectos da mudança de paradigma no turismo.

A diretora de rede da CreativeTourismNetwork®, Caroline Couret, apresentou casos práticos de turismo criativo, que poderiam ser aplicados a todos os destinos em Portugal, devido ao alto potencial do país para desenvolver essas novas formas de turismo.

A sessão foi inaugurada pelo Sr. António Jorge Costa, Presidente do IPDT  e representada institucionalmente pela Sra. Ana Mendes Godinho, Secretária de Estado do Turismo, o Sr. Luís Araújo, Presidente do Turismo do Portugal e encerrada pela Sra. Ana Paula Pais, Directora de la Escuela de Hostelería y Turismo de Portugal.
