Step into a cultural journey to Tobago’s Moriah Ole Time Wedding – a vibrant reenactment of a 1900s-style celebration with vintage attire and spirited folk traditions. Join locals as the Moriah village comes alive with music, traditions and dancing through the streets in a joyful village procession. Your day begins with a short flight to Tobago for breakfast at the historic Fort George and a visit to its National Museum! We take enriching stop enroute to Moriah as we soak up Tobago’s history and splendour all day long. This is not just a tour – it’s an unforgettable journey into the soul of Tobago!

The itinerary actively involves participation at almost every stage: – Heritage Dance & Song Mini-Class: they learn the “Brush Back” dance enabling them to actively perform alongside others during the actual procession. – Song and Live Music Demo: they learn a traditional wedding to be able to sing along in the procession and are taught about traditional instruments used in the wedding by engagement. – Costume Experience Station: Trying on traditional wedding garments – Ole Time Wedding Procession: Tourists join the wedding parade, singing, dancing, and engaging with locals in a meaningful and authentic way.

This experience is tied directly to Tobago’s annual Heritage Festival. All food, cultural practioners and other stakeholders (to the best of our ability) will be sourced and provided by Tobagonians. The auxiliary spots and sessions would be based on artistic expressions of Tobago’s culture.

This experience brings Tobago’s heritage to life through its performance, costume design, music, dance, and storytelling in a carefully crafted reenactment. We have weaved other artistic elements into an overall narrative, cultural journey. We hope to create mini-immersive experiences to align with Tobago’s identity, such as: * Heritage Dance Mini Class * Costume Experience Station * Live Traditional Music Session * Tasting table of Tobago traditional sweets giving each element a touch of flair and elevation.

Plonge dans un voyage culturel à destination du Moriah Ole Time Wedding de Tobago – une reconstitution vibrante d’un mariage traditionnel des années 1900, avec costumes d’époque et traditions folkloriques animées. Rejoins les habitants alors que le village de Moriah s’anime de musique, de traditions et de danses dans les rues lors d’un joyeux cortège de village. Ta journée commence par un court vol vers Tobago, avec petit-déjeuner au fort historique de Fort George, suivi d’une visite de son musée national ! Nous ferons des arrêts enrichissants en chemin vers Moriah, pour profiter de l’histoire et des splendeurs de Tobago toute la journée. Ce n’est pas juste une excursion – c’est un voyage inoubliable dans l’âme de Tobago !

L’itinéraire implique une participation active à presque chaque étape :

Cortège du mariage d’antan : participation des visiteurs au défilé avec chants, danses et interactions authentiques avec les locaux.

Mini-cours de danse et chant traditionnels : apprentissage de la danse « Brush Back » pour la réaliser pendant le cortège.

Démonstration de chant et de musique live : apprentissage d’un chant traditionnel de mariage, avec initiation aux instruments utilisés lors des cérémonies.

Atelier de costumes : essai de vêtements traditionnels de mariage.

Cette expérience est directement liée au Festival du Patrimoine annuel de Tobago. Toute la nourriture, les praticiens culturels et autres intervenants (dans la mesure du possible) seront originaires de Tobago. Les lieux et sessions annexes seront basés sur des expressions artistiques de la culture tobagonienne.

Elle fait revivre le patrimoine de Tobago à travers la performance, la conception des costumes, la musique, la danse et le conte, dans une reconstitution soigneusement élaborée. Nous avons intégré d’autres éléments artistiques dans un récit global et un parcours culturel. Nous souhaitons créer de petites immersions alignées sur l’identité de Tobago, telles que :

Embárcate en un viaje cultural hacia la Boda Antigua de Moriah en Tobago: una colorida recreación de una celebración al estilo de los años 1900, con vestimenta de época y vibrantes tradiciones populares.
