Brittany receives the award for Best Strategy for the Development of Creative Tourism at the Creative Tourism Awards 2023

The jury of the 9th edition of the Creative Tourism Awards, composed of experts in tourism, marketing and creative industries, has selected the Economic Tourism and Know-How Week (Semaine du Tourisme économique et des savoir-faire) as the best strategy for the development of creative tourism in 2023.

This initiative, supported by the Brittany region’s tourist offices, highlights the industrial heritage and know-how of local companies that make up the identity of the Breton territory. It is supported by a particularly ambitious strategy to revitalize the economic fabric, as it is being carried out on the scale of an entire region, and is inclusive, aimed at both locals and national tourists.

“We are very proud to be distinguished by this award, which recognizes the work done by the tourist offices of Brittany and the businesses in the region that open their doors for this event,” said Pierre Bouton, Director of the Regional Federation of Tourist Offices of Brittany.

For Caroline Couret, Director of the Creative Tourism Network®, “this trophy legitimately rewards a strategy as well as a set of innovative initiatives that make local know-how a differential element, appreciated by tourists, and federating for local stakeholders.

The award was presented at the Paris World Tourism Fair on March 17, 2023.
