Creative Tourism in Minas Gerais (Brazil)

The director of the Creative Tourism Network®, Caroline Couret, was invited by the Secretary of State for Culture and Tourism of Minas Gerais (Secult), to participate in an International Seminar on Marketing of Tourist Destinations, held last September 30th, to discuss innovative market trends that contribute to reactivate the tourism activity worldwide.

The panel was composed of Fernanda Fonseca, Tourist Marketing Superintendent at Minas Gerais Government, Nathalia Bayona, UNWTO director of innovation, education and investments at the International Tourism Organization, Felipa Valente, director of Taste of Lisbon (Portugal), Caroline Couret (CTN) and moderated by Marta Poggi, consultant in trends and digital transformation in tourism.

Couret highlighted the high potential of Minas Gerais to position itself as a creative tourism destination, by designing experiences that convert its rich intangible heritage and gastronomy, into a unique and authentic offer able to attract the new generations of travelers.

A call for entries will be launched through which SECULT will support initiatives that contribute to the promotion of the tourist destination through new products.

Congratulations on such a relevant initiative!
