Tourism has evolved considerably in recent years, and you are the best guarantors of these changes. This is why we want to reward all those who have had the curiosity, audacity, and generosity to deal with creative tourism from all angles!

But first of all, let us introduce ourselves briefly:
The Creative Tourism Network® (CTN) is the international organization for Creative Tourism development worldwide. CTN was founded in 2010 as a non-profit organization to promote destinations of all kinds that bet on creative tourism as a differential element to attract the new generations of travelers as well as to create a virtuous value chain for the territory. These labeled CreativeFrindlyDestinations spread around the world, are recognized for the creative experiences they offer to new travelers.
What do we mean by Creative Tourism?
Sure, you already know what it is, but maybe you call it differently!
Creative Tourism is considered a new generation of tourism that involves the tourists themselves and the locals in the creation of the tourist product (co-creation).
The concept of Creative Tourism appeared in the 2000′s, and is defined as: “Tourism which offers visitors the opportunity to develop their creative potential through active participation in courses and learning experiences, which are characteristic of the holiday destination where they are taken.” (Crispin Raymond and Greg Richards, 2000).

Journalists, photographers, videographers and all content creators from all around the world who have worked in the creative tourism field and have created any kind of content about it can apply for the awards. They can be employees of any media outlets/channels or freelancers.
Important: The submitted contents can have been published or broadcasted before.
You can apply for different categories and even combine them (please see the form).
Geographical: Europe, Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania.
Focus: Travel report, economic and society article, creative tourism photo/video/documentary.
Thematic: Gastronomic tourism, music, crafts, dance, intangible heritage, community-based experiences, creative industries…
Format: Short and long article, blog, photo, video, short report, and TV documentary/ radio show.

The jury will choose winners for each category!
-Number of Submissions-
The Creative Tourism Media Awards 2022 are open to a wide array of media works and formats. Each applicant can submit several entries: One entry by one application form! One entry can fit with different categories. Please have a look at the application form.
All the languages are accepted, but translations should be provided for all the contents that are not in the following languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese, and Catalan languages.
Submission Deadline: NOVEMBER 2, 2022 at 23:59h CET.
Only complete entries will be considered.
An international jury composed of experts in Media and tourism will assess the works and select the winners in all categories.
Awarded content will be highlighted through Creative Tourism Network® digital platforms (website, social media networks, newsletter).
The winners will receive an official certificate and distinctive.
All the applicants will be informed of the press trips and activities organized by CreativeFriendlyDestinations.
-Publication Rights / Copyright License-
The application supposes the transfer of the right to share the awarded content always mentioning the credits. All aforementioned transfers of use shall be of worldwide validity.
As an applicant, you are supposed to accept the rules and the specific terms. You are the warrant of your copyright and eventual collaborations.
